Anna Reeve X European Summer
I was so excited when the gorgeous Anna agreed to let me share her recent Europe adventures on the journal! Anna and her twin boys, Hunter & Oscar, spent a few weeks sailing around Mallorca, camping in a Tiffany coloured caravan and taking in the beauty that is Barcelona (A-mazing!!)
I asked Anna 8 quick-fire questions to get the lowdown on their European adventure.
We stayed at:
We stayed at two campgrounds about 2 hours north of Barcelona. My parents are touring around Europe for 6 moths in the coolest custom made camper so we joined them where they were parked up and hired a cabin on the grounds. The campgrounds there are amazing, full pool set ups, restaurants, playgrounds it was like mini resorts, would be a cheap way to do Europe with family! We were lucky enough to spend 7 nights on a yacht sailing around Mallorca too, my dad has always sailed so we grew up having sailing trips. Was nice to start that tradition again with my two little ones now. They LOVED it, I was worried about two 5 year olds on a yacht but we had no accidents and they didn’t feel too cramped. Lots of jumping off the back, laying in the sun, helping steer the yacht and stopping off in bays for adventures.
My favourite spot to visit was:
Mallorca, the whole island was beautiful. We sailed around the east side from Palma to start then had three nights in Palma where we went exploring the rest of the island by car too.
The highlight of my trip was:
SAILING, seriously it is one of my favourite holidays always. Relaxing but just active enough. Not many people have the skills to do it themselves so I am so lucky to have a dad that talented that we have gotten to grow up sailing around the world with him.
My favourite meal was:
We found this tiny little restaurant in the middle of nowhere in a tiny town square. We totally chanced upon it and had the most divine meal sent out plate by plate by the chef who spoke very little English. Then in Barcelona we visited Flax and Kale which was incredible, different way of eating than I am used to here being mostly vegan/vegetarian options.
One thing I wouldn't have survived without:
iPads for the 30 hours of travel door to door for the kids.
The song that will forever remind me of the trip is:
When doves cry - original mix, YNOT & Cosmo Klein
My best travel hack is:
Take a multi board with you, then you only need one power adapter and can charge multiple things at once.
One place worth returning to is:
Barcelona, I need more time in that city!
